How Credits Work
What are credits?
Credits are YouWare's standard unit of measurement for AI-related costs across the platform. The more complex or resource-intensive the action, the more credits it requires.
When are credits used?
Credits are consumed in three main situations:
1. Creating with the YouWare Coding Agent
Each time you talk to the AI while creating or editing a project, credits are used.
The main cost comes from large language model (LLM) tokens — used for thinking, task planning, and code generation.
2. Using third-party tools while building
YouWare supports external tools like Firecrawl, Flux AI, and others to help creators build smarter projects.
Credits are used when these tools are called during the creation process.
3. Using AI APIs in projects
Some projects include built-in AI features, like image generation.
Credits are used whenever these features are triggered — whether you're testing them during project setup or interacting with them after the project is published.
Key things to know
• Publishing a project does not consume credits.
• Credits are charged based on who triggers the action:
• Creators pay for AI usage during project creation and testing
• End users pay when interacting with live AI-powered features in published projects
How to get more credits?
Free users can subscribe to a Pro plan to unlock monthly credits.
Already subscribed? You can upgrade to a higher credit tier at any time.
To compare plans or manage your subscription,
In what order are credits used?
Credits are used in the following order: monthly credits → free credits
Monthly credits come from your subscription and refresh automatically every month on your billing date.
Final note
If something goes wrong on our end (e.g. tool fails), your credits will be refunded automatically. We're always working to make your credits go further.
