YouWare Challenge Recap: 7 Days. 500+ Builders. Here's how it went.
What happens when you give vibe coders the keys to build whatever they want, no code required? YouWare's #YouBuild Challenge powered by Contra.
For seven days, our community (and lots of new builders, welcome) came together to push the limits of what's possible with YouWare and YouBase. The challenge was simple: build something real with YouWare, and show the world what you can do.
The results? They speak for themselves 👇
By the Numbers
- 524 builders joined the challenge
- 262 projects were submitted
- Builds ranged from polished landing pages, to games, to functional dashboards, micro-SaaS apps, and AI-powered tools.
While we were on the lookout for exceptional quality, it was more about proving a point. You don't need a CS degree or months of development time to bring a great idea to life. You just need a vision and the right tools.
Meet the Winners
After hours of deliberation, our judges selected three standout projects:
🥇 Krigo — Designed MockIt to create brilliant mock-ups seamlessly using Nano banana and Seedream. 🥈 Maddie Reese — Maddie decided to recreate MySpace with MyNotSpace.com, except now you can vibe code your profile styling! 🥉 Ito Maki — Social Media Breakout, a breakout-style game set in the world of social media, inspired by Japanese social media culture.
Each of these builds demonstrated creativity, execution, and a clear understanding of what makes a product click. We'll be featuring deep dives on these projects soon—stay tuned.

A massive shoutout to Leon, Marvin, Victoria, Robert, and Ben for dedicating their time and expertise to reviewing submissions. Judging nearly 200 projects is no small feat, and their insights helped surface the best of what this community created.
What's Next? This challenge proved something we've believed from day one: when you remove the barriers, creators build incredible things.
The challenge might be over, but this is just the beginning. We're already cooking up the next opportunity for you to ship, compete, and show off what you can do.
